Bemerkung:   In einer Briefsendung übersendet Beat Streuli mit einem Anschreiben (JCA1STRE015) diese Mappe mit einer Fotoserie sowie sein Manuskript ""Nur" Fotografie?" (JCA1STRE019). Die Mappe wurde Ammann als Einblick in eine neue Fotoserie zugesandt, die der Künstler im Buchformat strukturiert hatte. Streulis erster, reiner Fotoband erschien 1989 (JCA1STRE026). Die Idee, leere Doppelseiten zur Strukturierung der Betrachtungserfahrung einzubauen, wendet er bereits in dieser Foto-Mappe an. Hier kündigt sich bereits das Interesse an der Einflussnahme auf die Rezeption, wie sie sich später in den Dia-Installationen ausdrückt, an: Der Leserichtung im Zeitfluss folgend lenkt Streuli durch die Leerstellen die momentartige Wahrnehmung seines Bildbandes. // Beat Streuli sent this portfolio of a photo series and his manuscript ""Nur" Fotografie?" (JCA1STRE019) to Jean-Christophe Ammann along with a cover letter (JCA1STRE015). He sent the portfolio to Ammann to give him insight into a new series of photographs he had structured in book format. Streuli's first book containing only photographs was published in 1989 (JCA1STRE026). The idea of including empty double pages to structure the viewing experience is already applied in this photo portfolio. This is an early manifestation of the artist’s interest in influencing the reception, as it later finds expression in the slide installations: taking into account the reading direction in the flow of time, Streuli used the empty spaces to direct the momentary perception of his illustrated book.
