Inhaltsangabe:   Subseries 3 contains the inventory of Karl Wolfskehl's library which was created after it was sold to Salman Schocken presumably before it was shipped to Jerusalem. The inventory consists of four volumes and lists almost 9000 titles (some with multiple volumes). The books were given signatures and ordered according to field (German literature (the largest section) literatures of various languages, philosophy, history, art history, music, sciences etc.). The inventory indicates, besides title, author, publisher, year and information about the book cover (Einband) also specialties of each volume such as illustrations, autographs, dedications etc., and occasionally also refers to materials (e.g. letters etc.) which are kept inside.   At a later point, at the Schocken Institute an additional 6 was put in front of each signature.

Bemerkung:   The inventory is kept separately from the other materials belonging to the papers of Karl Wolfskehl.
