Bemerkung:   Es handelt sich um eine sogenannte Postal Sculpture von Gilbert & George. Das Blatt ist stark eingefärbt und angebrannt, sodass es älter wirkt. Das Hochformat wurde zweimal über die horizontale Mitte gefaltet. In Kopf- und Fußzeile befinden sich der Briefkopf mit Datumangabe und Angaben zum Verlag "Art for All". Der Leser wird mit den Worten "George and Gilbert would like you to accept this written / picture explanation" in einen Text- und Bildbeitrag von Gilbert & George eingeführt. Bei dem folgenden Text handelt es sich um den Songtext von "Underneath the Arches". Die zwei Bilder sind kleinformatige Drucke aus der Werkserie ""The Paintings" (With us in the nature)" (Vgl. JCA1GILB099 und JCA1GILB105). Im unteren rechten Teil wurde ein roter "G G"-Stempel hinzugefügt. Der Poststempel zeigt das Datum vom 24.08.1970. Der Umschlag ist an Jean-Christophe Ammann adressiert. // This is a so-called "Postal Sculpture" by Gilbert & George. The leaf is strongly colored and burned to look older. The vertical format has been folded twice over the horizontal center. In the header and footer are the letterhead with the date and details of the publisher "Art for All." The reader is introduced to a text and image contribution by Gilbert & George with the words "George and Gilbert would like you to accept this written / picture explanation." The lyrics for Underneath the Arches follow. The two images are small-scale prints from the series ""The Paintings" (with Us in the Nature)" (see JCA1GILB099 and JCA1GILB105). At the lower right, a red "G G" stamp has been applied. The postmark shows the date 24 August 1970. The envelope is addressed to Jean-Christophe Ammann.
