Bemerkung:   Es handelt sich um die Karte "Bristol Cream" der achtteiligen Postal Sculpture "The Pink Elephant" von Gilbert & George. Wöchentlich erhielt Jean-Christophe Ammann eine gefaltete und bedruckte Karte, die einem Cocktail gewidmet ist. Die Vorderseite zeigt eine Abbildung und den Titel der Karte. Die Innenseite enthält auf der rechten Seite einen von den Künstlern verfassten Text, der sich thematisch mit Alkohol und der daraus resultierenden Verwirrung auseinandersetzt. Der Text schließt mit dem Wort "Cheerio" und wurde jeweils von beiden Künstlern in roter Tinte signiert. Am Seitenende steht der Satz "Wonderful Stuff!". Auf der Rückseite der Karte wird der Verlag "Art for All" genannt. Die Karte wurde in einem postgestempelten Umschlag, der an Ammann handadressiert wurde, versendet. Der Poststempel zeigt das Datum vom 30.11.1973. Der Umschlag ist oben links mit einem roten Stempel "PINK ELEPHANTS" und einem skizzierten sprudelndem Weinglas sowie rückseitig auf der Umschlaglasche mit einem roten Stempel "GG" versehen. // This is the card "Bristol Cream" from "The Pink Elephant," an eight-part "Postal Sculpture" by Gilbert & George. Every week, Jean-Christophe Ammann received a folded and printed card named after a different alcoholic beverage. On the front is an illustration and the title of the card. On the inside right is a text by the artists about alcohol and its effects. Below the text is the word "Cheerio" and the signatures of both artists in red ink. The words "Wonderful Stuff!" are printed at the bottom of the page. On the back is the name of the publisher: "Art for All." The card was sent in a postmarked envelope hand-addressed to Ammann. The postmark shows the date 30 November 1973. The envelope is stamped "PINK ELEPHANTS" with a little sketch of a wineglass in red on the front at the top left and "GG" in red on the flap on the back.
