Bemerkung: Die s/w-Fotografie zeigt die Arbeit „Yen Virus“ (The Armoury of the Miss General Idea Pavillion) von General Idea aus dem Jahr 1990. Abgebildet ist ein graues Wappen auf dem symmetrisch zahlreiche grau-weiß-melierte Yen Symbole angeordnet sind, sodass sie eine Struktur ergeben. Auf der Rückseite der Fotografie ist ein Dokument der Art Gallery of Ontario befestigt, das die Künstler*innennamen und den Titel der Arbeit benennt. Die Arbeit war ein Geschenk des Volunteer Committee Fund im Jahr 1990. Die Art Gallery of Ontario nummeriert die Fotografie als negativ: n-8079#1. Die Aufnahme gehört zu einer Serie von insgesamt 15 s/w-Fotografien der Schilder von General Idea (JCA1GENE055–JCA1GENE069). Die abgebildeten Werke sind Teil des „The Armoury of the 1984 Miss General Idea Pavillion“. Philip Monk, Kurator bei der Art Gallery of Ontario, sendete die Serie in einem Brief an Jean-Christophe Ammann (JCA1GENE091). // The b/w photograph shows the work “Yen Virus” (The Armoury of the Miss General Idea Pavillion) by General Idea from 1990, depicting a gray coat of arms on which numerous gray-white-mottled yen symbols are symmetrically arranged to form a structure. Attached to the back of the photograph is a document from the Art Gallery of Ontario that names the artists and the title of the work. The work was a gift from the Volunteer Committee Fund in 1990. The Art Gallery of Ontario numbers the photograph as negative: n-8079#1. This photograph is part of a series of 15 b/w photographs of General Idea’s shields (JCA1GENE055–JCA1GENE069). The works shown are part of “The Armory of the 1984 Miss General Idea Pavilion.” Philip Monk, a curator at the Art Gallery of Ontario, sent the series in a letter to Jean-Christophe Ammann (JCA1GENE091).
