Biographische Hinweise:
1945 Promotion, 1951 Habilitation. 1951-58 Oberassistent und PD an der Univ. Zürich. Ab 1958 lehrte er in den Vereinigten Staaten, und zwar bis 1960 als Gastprof. an der Clark University (Worcester, Massachusetts) sowie als assoziierter Prof. an der University of Cincinnati. Von 1962 bis zu seinem Tod wirkte C. als Prof. an der York University in Toronto.
